figures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There are 255 automobile assembly, engine, and battery production plants in Europe*.<ul><li>98 produce cars, 44 make buses, 32 build trucks (heavy-duty vehicles), 30 make vans (light commercial vehicles), 56 build engines, and 65 make batteries.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>121 of these plants assemble battery-electric vehicles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ACEA members build cars, vans, trucks, buses, and engines in 15 EU member states.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul
