The Board has authority to take decisions on all relevant issues and elects a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acea.auto\/acea-president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">President<\/a> for one year, with the possibility of re-election once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acea.auto\/commercial-vehicle-board-of-directors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Commercial Vehicle Board of Directors<\/a> addresses the specific issues that face the commercial vehicle manufacturers that ACEA represents. The&nbsp;Commercial Vehicle Board&nbsp;elects a Chairperson annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day-to-day work of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acea.auto\/team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ACEA team<\/a> is overseen by the Director General, who ensures that the Board of Directors&#8217; priorities are addressed. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acea.auto\/acea-director-general\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Director General<\/a> is&nbsp;Sigrid de Vries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Technical expertise and advisory input come&nbsp;from working groups on topics as diverse as sustainability, emissions, road and vehicle safety, general transport policy and regulatory compliance.
