Ultimately, the industry needs a streamlined and holistic approach to the massive transition to zero-emissions that is undertaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe biggest challenge is actually the enabling conditions, because we are moving from a brown fossil-based platform into a green, renewable platform,\u201d stated Mr Lundstedt. \u201cThis is a decisive year coming up and we need to work together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mismatched policies \u2013 such as the current Euro 7 proposal \u2013 send confusing signals, and risk slowing down the automotive industry\u2019s race to decarbonisation. Lundstedt: \u201cWe have contradictory legislations coming up that risk pulling our sector in different directions and taking away the focus from the real deal here: the transition to climate neutrality.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPolicies and regulations should align, support, compound and not distract from the massive investments of the overarching agenda of reaching net-zero transport in Europe, while also at the same time reinforcing \u2018made in Europe\u2019,\u201d concluded Lundstedt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\t\t<blockquote class=\"shareable-blockquote\">\n\t\t\t<div
