It will lead to higher prices for consumers and operators, who risk holding on to their older, more polluting vehicles for longer. This would be detrimental to the environment and disruptive for vehicle manufacturers.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"cntnt block-container\">\n<p>It would pose significant costs to the European automotive industry, logistics companies, and consumers, thereby damaging an already fragile European economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, the Euro 7 proposal is likely to increase the average purchase price of a new car by \u20ac2,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Complying with Euro 7 will mean increased costs to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>reflect all the additional research, development, production, and testing expenses;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cover major new test facilities; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>account for the much wider boundary conditions in the new Euro 7 tests, requiring additional onroad testing, complemented by new, in-lab Real Driving Emissions (RDE) test simulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\t\t<blockquote class=\"shareable-blockquote\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"content\">The Euro 7
