Mobility is key to wealth creation and must not be jeopardised: it should be affordable and accessible to all European citizens and businesses. <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The EU has set one of the most ambitious electrification targets for cars and vans in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

European auto manufacturers are playing their part in achieving these targets by committing to invest \u20ac250 billion into electrification by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the electric vehicle (EV) transition must be inclusive and accessible to all European citizens and businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After all, the vehicles we produce keep Europe on the move. And affordable EVs are an essential part of preserving the mobility of people and goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, EVs cost more to produce in Europe than combustion engine models or EVs imported from regions with lower manufacturing costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affordably and profitably manufacturing EVs in Europe is a challenge without the right industrial framework in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
