At today\u2019s Strategic Dialogue Technical Working Group led by Commissioner Minzatu we addressed the importance of the substantial skills transition our industry is undergoing as we shift towards zero-emission technology. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201c<\/strong>The European automotive industry does not exist in a vacuum and is part of a complex societal construction employing more than 13 million Europeans across the value chain,\u201d stated Sigrid de Vries, Director General of the European Automobile Manufacturers\u2019 Association (ACEA). \u201cWe have a responsibility to ensure that the \u2018skills and social\u2019 pillar is at the forefront of the Strategic Dialogue Action Plan to sufficiently equip workforces for the zero-emissions transition and make Europe an attractive location for global talent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why at today\u2019s Working Group, we called for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>establishing an Automotive-Mobility Ecosystem Academy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>enhancing EU-wide best practice sharing to boost labour transformations;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conducting regional labour force analysis of the automotive value chain;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>promoting micro-credentials and learning systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>developing a robust sectoral skills intelligence system;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reforming EU state aid rules and funding programs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>integrating skills and training into relevant EU research programmes, such as Horizon Europe; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>facilitating EU funding for apprenticeships and education programmes that focus on zero-emission technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\t\t<blockquote class=\"shareable-blockquote\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"content\">Securing quality jobs, delivering on
